This is an entry level position for designing general civil engineering projects in the areas of water/wastewater/stormwater, transportation, and site development.  Qualified individuals should be extremely dependable, responsible, and flexible with a desire to learn. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • Experience: 0-4 years
  • Licensure: EIT certification preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD required

  • Knowledge of other civil engineering design and analysis software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and HCS a plus

BG Consultants, Inc. is seeking a full-time or part-time Construction Observer to join our team for projects throughout the state of Kansas. Personnel with current KDOT certifications and/or related construction experience a plus. Responsibilities include field observation and documentation of construction contractors' activities for conformance with contract requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma with previous construction related experience a plus;
  • Must have a valid driver's license;
  • Current KDOT inspection certifications not required but preferred;

This is a mid-upper level position for designing general civil engineering projects in the areas of water/wastewater/stormwater, transportation and site development. Candidate must be able to prepare, monitor and review: engineer’s opinion of probable cost, design calculations, project specifications and budgets, permit applications for applicable agencies, client billing and A/R tasks. As a Project Manager they will be responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects, assist in production of final construction drawings and mentor and assist with training Intern and Design Engineers. He or she will work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. The candidate will be expected to maintain a good relationship with clients throughout project activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors, receive and route deliveries, and answer/direct incoming calls.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and shipments; manage postage and label creation as needed.
  • Keep shared spaces tidy, including the front desk area, conference rooms, snack cabinet, and fridge.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in an office, marketing or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent writing, grammatical editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task while remaining detail-oriented and professional.
  • Ability to work both independently and seamlessly with project managers and key shareholders.
