BG Consultants, Inc. is a mid-sized design and consulting firm that specializes in architecture, engineering (civil, structural, MEP), planning, surveying, and construction administration. We are seeking a Full-Time Office Clerk/Bookkeeper to assist with various tasks in the Finance and Human Resources Office in our Manhattan Office.  Benefits include 401K with an employer match, Health, Dental, Vision, Voluntary Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Employer Paid Basic Life Insurance and Employer Paid Long Term Disability, and Paid Time off.  Pay varies depending on qualifications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of financial reports

  • Record and maintain financial transactions

  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable entry

  • Perform reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts 

  • Assist in preparation and filing of tax returns

  • Assist in preparation of audit

  • Running and reviewing various financial reports

  • Assist payroll and serve as a backup

  • Assist with benefits and payroll reconciliation

  • Assists and track collection of employee documents

  • Project database management

  • Communication with vendors and clients regarding financial transactions

  • Maintain employee confidentiality

Requirements:

  • Two- years’ minimum experience or education in accounting or business finance/administration.

  • Knowledge of financial, database and Microsoft Office software

  • Good organizational skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Attentiveness and honesty

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
