A ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by Riley County on October 25, 2019 in Leonardville for the newly constructed Fire Station 6. In attendance were local residents as well as representatives from BG Consultants, Schultz Construction, USDA, Riley County and the Fire Department. The new fire station provides a safe and efficient environment for first responders, adds compliant space needed for all equipment and apparatus, and includes a modern training room. Leonardville’s Fire Station 6 is an extension of the Riley County Fire District.
