The Bill Snyder Family Stadium Phase II Expansion was designed by AECOM, serving as architect of record and engineer of record. Because the construction of this expansion was monumental, BG Consultants was retained as structural engineers to act on behalf of Kansas State University. The team was responsible for reviewing the structural design and verifying that the quality of construction met the design intent and required standards.

The design and construction of this facility are unique. The North and South Towers were erected adjacent to the existing Press Box while the football season was going on. After the season ended, the Press Box was imploded. Extensive measures had to be taken to protect the surrounding structures and the safety of faculty, staff, students, and visitors during this process.

Throughout the construction, BG Consultants gave recommendations on structural repairs and fixes to the engineer of record for any structural item out of compliance with codes or acceptable industry standards.  The overall project size consisted of a 250,000 square foot expansion.
