BG Consultants was contracted to design improvements for the Flint Muir parking lots in Fort Leavenworth. Due to other renovations scheduled to take place at nearby Flint and Muir Halls, the project came with rigid time constraints.

BG provided a full range of engineering services for the project. Our team engineered parking lot layouts, bituminous pavement design, parking lot access, stormwater management facilities, security facilities, and ADA facilities. Stormwater drainage was of critical significance in this project in order to keep several hundred thousand dollars’ worth of ground-mounted mechanical building equipment dry. The final project was a parking area for 175 vehicles, designed for bituminous overlays and concrete curbs and gutters.
