Green Tree Subdivision
When looking to develop the 26-acre Green Tree Subdivision tract in northwest Lawrence, the client came to BG Consultants for assistance with the site plan and platting process required by the Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Office.
BG Consultants completed boundary and topographic surveys for the site. These formed the base elements of the preliminary and final plats and the site plan. Our team also completed flood plain and stormwater analyses, and a stormwater collection system was designed to remove stormwater from the site and comply with Lawrence stormwater requirements. An offsite traffic study was done that compared pre- and post-development traffic volumes. Using an onsite traffic analysis, BG created the required number of off-street parking places while maintaining adequate vehicle circulation.
BG personnel met with the client and Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Office staff to work through the agency’s land use requirements. Our firm supported our client during the public hearing process before the Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission.
