Kellogg Drive Improvements at Emporia State University

Emporia, KS

The Kellogg Circle street repair and resurfacing project consisted of street reconstruction, storm sewer, and sidewalk improvements for one of the main entrances onto Emporia State University’s Campus. BG Consultants planned the project over three phases to minimize road closures and schedule around academic breaks. The entrance to Kellogg Circle is located at the signalized intersection at Commercial Street and 12th Avenue. It connects Plumb Hall (an administration building), Roosevelt Hall, and the White Library on campus.

The construction required 2,939 square yards of eight-inch concrete pavement, 106 square yards of dyed eight-inch concrete pavement, 1,612 square yards of six-inch sidewalk, 2,581 lineal feet of curb and gutter, eight types of inlets, and 553 lineal feet of storm sewer.
