BG Consultants, Inc is looking for a versatile and concept-driven Project Architect to join our team to guide projects through all phases of delivery. We are searching for candidates who are well organized, creative, forward thinking, detail oriented and work effectively in a collaborative team environment while also working autonomously on given tasks. This role will involve project management within the firm and active design as a valuable support to the firms Principal Architect.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead design work and establish working logistics of multiple team members.

  • Engage on each project with client to determine goals and responsible for project delivery.

  • Delegate day-to-day contact with clients to Project Architects and team members.

  • Leadership and team management skills to meet project scope, budgets and schedule while serving in capacity as a Studio Leader to organize project and document production. This responsibility will be in coordination with Firm Project Manager and Marketing Manager of Architectural work.

  • Experience and understanding of engineering systems, equipment, technology requirements, detailing and how they relate to construction.

  • Perform construction administration duties for conformance with design intent and construction documents.
    Experience with necessary codes and regulatory standards.

  • Communicate effectively with project team and clients.

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8-10 years’ with diverse design experience preferred.

  • Proven experience in project management [experience in detail & design development, construction documents, construction administration, a plus].

  • Passion for design.

  • Understanding of client communications, contract documentation, project scheduling, team leadership, building design, technical detailing, consultant coordination, construction administration.

  • Strong writing and oral ability.

  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined in a collaborative studio environment, able to organize, encourage and lead small project teams.

  • 5 yr Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture, or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in Revit software preferred.

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
